S100-Manuals

This page is meant to be an archive of antique software and manuals related to S100 & CP/M hardware & software.

While the title is S100-Manuals it is not limited to S100 and it is not limited to manuals.

Some of the material is simply links to other sites, some mirrors of other sites, and some will be original.

I have very strong and personal feelings about antique hardware/software:

The information is disappearing quickly and without online archives most would be "lost".  These archives are meant to be shared.  Sharing in the truest sense copy what you will and if you have something related but not included please forward a copy to one of the archives such as this.

The exact method of archiving varies, some are commercial and expect payment which of course offsets the cost of the archive.  Some just want credit for the hard work they did to provide it.  Others may be silent as to where it comes from but are just happy to share.  All are good, as long as it is truly archived.

There are too many sites that contain unique information and I am concerned that with only one source that the information can be lost.  That is why I will mirror what most interests me and I have space for.  For this archive I am leasing space on a commercial site.  This site is limited to 3gb, for the purposes I had in mind this sounded huge.  After realizing how big the PDF's get I am now realizing that may be too small.  I may add a second site that will be transparently linked.

This site will follow my personal interests.  My first computer was a Processor Technology Sol-20.  As such the first thing I put on this site was a mirror of Jim Battles Sol-20 site.  Personally I believe that it is the perfect starting point for anyone interested in early 8080/Z80 computing (others might point to TRS-80).  Jim Battle wrote a SOL-20 emulator and included a NorthStar double density disk controller.  There is a huge amount of software and documentation related to Processor Technology & NorthStar disk systems.

My second computer was a Cromemco system in a TEI chassis so you will also find Cromemco software and documentation here.
